UAE and Scotland Women’s players get drafted during the Hundred wild-card picks

Cricket Scotland (CS) Women’s national squad member Rachel Slater and Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) U19 Women’s squad member Mahika Gaur have been picked up in the Wildcard picks by Northern Superchargers and Manchester Originals respectively for the Hundred Women’s competition for 2022. Slater becomes the third (3rd) Scotland player along with Kathryn Bryce (Trent Rockets) and Abtaha Maqsood (Birmingham Phoenix) in the competition this year, that will take place from 11th August, after the completion of Women’s T20I competition in the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The 16-year old Mahika Gaur has already represented UAE Women’s National team in fourteen (14) WT20I matches, and was recently in action for the UAE U19 Women’s team in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia qualifier held in Malaysia, where UAE team triumphed and booked their place in the main event in South Africa. Mahika picked up eleven (11) wickets in the competition from five (5) matches, that also included a Five (5)-wicket haul against Nepal U19 Women’s team.
