Scotland U19 Men’s team will be hosting the U19 Men’s team from Ireland for a three (3) match Celtic Cup series in 50-overs format from July 24th – 27th, 2023 at Aberdeenshire cricket club ground in Mannofield. With Scotland U19 set to compete in the 2024 ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Europe Qualifier in Netherlands in August, this series is crucial for their preparations for the upcoming tournament. The U19 teams from both the countries met last year as well, when Scotland U19 travelled to Ireland to play the One-day series, which was known as the U19 Celtic Cup.
The Scotland U19 team have been playing matches at home in the past couple of weeks against Scotland Men’s Performance academy team and South Asian Cricket academy team, with Head coach Dan Sutton preparing the team for the Qualifier.
