Cricket PNG (Cricket Papua New Guinea) will be hosting the Men’s Isuzu T20 Smash 2025 competition at Amini Park from May 09th – 17th, 2025. The tournament will feature the regular four (4) teams, namely the Black Bass, the Cassowaries, the Mariners, and the Mudmen, in a single round-robin group stage format, followed by the Final between the top two (2) teams, while the 3rd/4th play-off game will also take place. This will be the first domestic Men’s competition for the season, and the National set-up members will be looking forward to getting back into the action in the field after months of off-field issues and matters within the players and the cricket board.
PNG Men’s team will be preparing themselves for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia-EAP combined Qualifier in Oman in October 2025, and the tournament also provides insight to the newly appointed Head Coach for the Barramundis, Tim Nielsen.
