Zimbabwe Cricket to host Namibia Men for T20I series before Africa Qualifier

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) will be hosting the Men’s National team of Namibia for a three (3)-match T20 International series (with ICC ranking points) from September 15th – 18th, 2025, at Queen Sports club ground in Bulawayo. Both Zimbabwe and Namibia are using the series as part of their final preparations for the upcoming 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier, set to begin in Harare from 26th September 2025, for two (2) qualification spots into the main event in India and Sri Lanka.

Zimbabwe Head Coach Justin Sammons “They are a quality team who have consistently performed well in this format, so these matches will demand our very best. For us, it’s about refining our plans, getting combinations right and making sure we go into the qualifier confident and battle-hardened.” For context, in the eleven (11) T20Is that has taken place between the two (2) teams, Namibia lead the head-to-head battle with seven (7) wins in them, with Zimbabwe winning four (4) games. Namibia Men have won both the bi-lateral series held between the Nations in 2022 (in Zimbabwe) and 2023 (in Namibia), and their fixture in the previous edition of the Africa Qualifier towards 2024 T20 World Cup qualification.
