The thirty-third (33rd) edition of the South East Asian (SEA) games is scheduled to take place from December 09th – 20th, 2025 in Bangkok Metropolitan Region, Chonburi, and Songkhla in Thailand. Cricket discipline will be played for the fourth (4th) time in SEA Games, and this year Men’s and Women’s T20 format will be played with T20I status with ranking points, while the T10 format will also be played during the games for Medals from December 10th – 19th at the TerdThai Cricket ground and Asian Institute of Technology Cricket ground in Bangkok.
For the Men’s Cricket Events, a total of five nations will compete (
Thailand, 
Singapore, 
Indonesia, 
Philippines and 
Malaysia). Both T10 and T20 Men’s Cricket Events will be played in a Round-Robin format. For the Women’s Cricket Events, a total of six nations will compete ( Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, 
Myanmar and Malaysia). The T10 Event was drawn into two groups, while the T20 Event was grouped according to each team’s ICC ranking.
In the Men’s and Women’s disciplines in the SEA Games 2023 edition in the T20I format, Cambodia Men and Thailand Women won the respective Gold medals, while Malaysia Men and Indonesia Women won Silver, and Singapore Men and Malaysia Women won the Bronze. While the previous edition had medal categories for 50-overs, T20I, T10 and 6’s format, the 2025 edition will only feature medal categories in T20I and T20 format for both Men and Women.
