The U19 Men’s National teams of Italy and Switzerland will be playing a bi-lateral series of three (3) matches, with two (2) matches in the 50-overs and a one-off game in the T20 format from April 04th – 06th, 2026 at the Royal Padova cricket club ground in Italy. The series is important for both the teams, as they prepare towards the 2028 ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup Europe Division 2 qualifier in Guernsey in July 2026.
Switzerland U19 will be participating in the Qualification pathway towards the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup for the first time, and will have to take on the challenge to compete for the two (2) qualification spots from the event in Guernsey. The Italy series will be a good benchmark for the support staff to make adjustments on, ahead of the Division 2 qualifier. Italy U19, on the other hand, will look to impress again in the Division 2 qualifier and progress to the Europe Qualifier, much like what they did in 2022, but failed to advance from the Division 2 qualifier in 2024.
