Afghanistan chase Title as they announce I-Cup squad for the final time against UAE

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) have announced their Intercontinental Cup for the final time as they look to exit the 4-day format competition by ICC for associate countries after the final round of the 2015-2017 cycle.

Although, both Afghanistan & Ireland were granted Test status in June 2017, both the countries were notified to complete the current I-Cup cycle as only 2 rounds of matches were remaining to be played. Afghanistan is currently leading the I-Cup points table with 101 points ahead of Ireland, who is at 89 points and play their last match against Scotland in the UAE as well.

The selection committee announced 14-member squad for the last round Intercontinental Cup (I-Cup) match against United Arab Emirates (UAE). The match is scheduled from 29th Nov – 2nd Dec 2017 in Abu Dhabi. The only change in the squad that played against Honk Kong is the inclusion of top-order batsman, Noor Ali Zadran, instead of Shabir Noori.
