PNG Women to compete in 2026 Australian Country Cricket Championships in January

The 2026 Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships (ACCC) will be held in the Busselton-Margaret River region of Western Australia from January 03rd – 11th, hosting both men’s and women’s teams from various Australian states and territories, continuing its tradition as a premier event for grassroots country cricket talent. The ICC EAP (East Asia-Pacific) representation in this edition will be from the PNG Lewas team (Papua New Guinea Women), who will be preparing for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier in Nepal in January/February 2026.

The event will take place across various cricket grounds within the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and the City of Busselton, including Gloucester Park, Cowaramup Oval, Barnard Park, Bovell and the Dunsborough Playing Fields. PNG Women will play the other teams in the competition in both the T20 format and the 50-overs format.
