Former West Indies player & T20 Globetrotter, Dwayne Smith, has been re-signed by Kowloon Cantons for the 2018 Edition of Hong Kong T20 Blitz from Feb 06th – 11th, 2018.
Smith, who represented the Cantons in the 2017 edition, posted a video message to the franchise and his fans, saying “Looking forward to playing for Kowloon Cantons again in the Hong Kong Blitz, should be spectacular and I hope that I can repeat, or even better what I’ve done last year and help Kowloon Cantons win the T20 Blitz again,”.
Smith displayed his prowess in the previous edition when he smashed 121 off only 40 deliveries against City Kaitak and Cantons head coach had nothing but all praise for the “Doctor”.
“We are delighted to have Dwayne back on board as part of the Cantons family this year. He was a key factor in our success last year and I’m sure he will have a major influence on the tournament again in 2018. I’m very much looking forward to working with him again” said Cantons coach Craig Wright.
