In a major signing coup, Everest Premier League franchise, Biratnagar Warriors have signed up two of the most prolific associate cricketers in World cricket, Hong Kong’s captain Babar Hayat & vice-captain Anshuman Rath in their squad for the upcoming 2017 EPL, due to start from 18th Dec, 2017.
Babar Hayat and Anshuman Rath have been in tremendous form in the past couple of months for Hong Kong in ICC Intercontinental Cup and World Cricket League Championship. With Nepal’s national captain Paras Khadka also in the ranks, Biratnagar will be a pre-tournament favourites for the title.
Hayat has played 47 T20 games till date with 867 runs at a strike rate of 118.44. He is also the first Hong Kong player to score a T20I century. Anshuman Rath has played 23 T20 games with 367 runs at a strike rate of 93.14. However, he also doubles up as a left-arm spinner and has picked up 5 wickets @7.64 runs per over.
A huge bonus for young Nepali cricketers to play alongside Hayat & Rath and learn from their experiences.
