Cricket Canada have announced a 14-member squad for the upcoming ICC World Cricket League Division 2, to be held in Namibia from Feb 8th – 15th, 2018.
Nitish Kumar led squad will take on Kenya, UAE, Nepal, Namibia & Oman in the 6-team tournament, from which the top 2 teams will qualify for ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe in Mar 2018. Canada have previously featured in the 1987, 2003 & 2011 editions of the World Cup.
The team will leave for South Africa on Jan 24th – 25th for a preparatory camp before embarking to Namibia for Division 2. Canada will play practice matches against the University of Pretoria as part of the build-up before traveling to Namibia.
