Kenya announce squad for WCL Division 2 & tour of Zimbabwe for T20/50-overs series

Kenya national men’s team will be touring Zimbabwe for a 10-day preparatory camp as they play T20 & 50-overs matches against Zimbabwe “A” ahead of crucial ICC WCL Division 2 in Namibia in Feb 2018.

Kenya will play a solitary T20 and four 50-overs matches on the 10-day tour to prepare themselves for the upcoming Division 2, where they take on UAE, Nepal, Namibia, Oman & Canada for the final 2 slots in the World Cup Qualifiers in Mar 2018 in Zimbabwe. ICC WCL Division 2 will be played from Feb 08th – 15th at various grounds in Namibia.

Kenya finished on 5th spot in ICC WCL Championship points table to get relegated to Division 2 in Dec 2017.

Former player Hiren Varaiya, who announced his retirement in Sep 2014 has made a come-back into International Cricket and recalled directly into the squad.
