A Chauraha date for Goldens in RUSLAN DPL2 Final

10/6 inside 6 overs. Shock and awe on the faces of Mahendranagar United fans as Sunny Patel plucked them up in a heap for Kathmandu Goldens. Who makes a comeback from that sort of situation?? Well, Mahendranagar did that too as they ended up getting 142 onn board in their 20 overs and they were not bowled out as well!! Kudos to them for providing such entertainment to the crowds who were not left disappointed after the first 6 overs.

Goldens did things meticulously, although to let go the opponents from 10/6 needs some look into ahead of the Final against Team Chauraha Dhangadhi. If they are in a similar position, will Team Chauraha let them come back into the match??

The Indian overseas players from both the sides did well on both the batting and bowling fronts. Still a lot will be hoping to see Nepal domestic players step up in the grand Final. Having lost the 1st qualifier in an absolute last ball finish thriller, Goldens will know that they have their task cut out ahead of the match against Team Chauraha.

Goldens will be hoping to see the backs of TCD’s UAE players, Ashfaq Ahmed and Rohan Mustafa as soon as possible to restrict them to a low total. Considering that bowling is the strong unit among the Nepali players, much will be expected out of the overseas players from the bat to put up a strong total on board to chase/defend.

There were couple of good performances from domestic players from Nepal in the Qualifier 2 match and here are the top 5 of them for the day from RUSLAN DPL 2:

  1. Aarif Sheikh (Mahendranagar United)
  2. Puspa Thapa (Kathmandu Goldens)
  3. Amit Shrestha (Kathmandu Goldens)
  4. Karan KC (Mahendranagar United)
  5. Shahab Alam (Kathmandu Goldens)
