After they started their Twitter revolution a few months back, there has been a considerable interest about their next International fixtures and a group of individuals will embark on their tour of UK for a busy schedule of matches against MCC, Switzerland and Authors CC.
Iceland Cricket announced their maiden International matches against Cricket Switzerland, to be held in Jul 2018 in UK. They were already scheduled to face Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) on 24th Jul 2018 at Bushy Park Ground at Hampton Hill Cricket Club.
Iceland will face Switzerland in two matches on 28th (50 overs) and 29th (T20) July, 2018, to be hosted by St. Georges Weybridge. Iceland will also play The Authors CC in the Halldor Laxness Trophy, which Iceland won 2-1 when the latter toured them last year. The match will be played on 26th July at Bank Of England CC ground in Roehampton.
Iceland will conclude their tour with a 100 ball match against The Rest of the World XI at St Georges, Weybridge on 29th Jul 2018.
Iceland will be looking to put up impressive performances in the park during the tour to state their case for applying for Associate membership with ICC.
