Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane have made quite an impressive start for their respective franchises in the ongoing KFC Big Bash League season 8 in Australia.
Both Rashid (Adelaide Strikers) and Sandeep (Melbourne Stars) are currently the joint highest wicket-taker in BBL||08 with 5 wickets each and are tied at the top spot with Kane Richardson (Melbourne Renegades) and Jofra Archer (Hobart Hurricanes). While Rashid is back for his 2nd stint with the franchise in the T20 league, it is Sandeep’s first taste of Big Bash League this year.
Their list of dismissals includes some of the top names in Australian International and domestic circuits. While Rashid has accounted for the scalps of Ben Cutting, Mitch Swepson, Mark Steketee, Sam Harper and Cameron White, Sandeep has taken the wickets of Shane Watson, Callum Ferguson, Alex Doolan, Ben Mcdermott & Matthew Wade to his name.

Sandeep will be available until the start of New Year as he will be leaving for Bangladesh for BPLT20 (Bangladesh Premier League) and will be back for the Stars at the conclusion of the season at the back-end of BBL||08. Rashid Khan, on the other hand, will be available for Strikers for the entire duration of Big Bash before joining up with Afghanistan national squad for their home series against Ireland in Feb 2019 in India.
