A total of six matches involving nine associate member countries across both men’s and women’s categories in two World T20 qualifiers were held across two continents at the same day and almost the same time as well.
The men’s qualifiers, which is being played at Kigali in Rwanda featured team’s from Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania for qualification into the Africa region finals and the women’s qualifiers, played in Netherlands featuring team’s from Uganda, UAE, Thailand, Scotland, Netherlands, Ireland, Papua New Guinea and Bangladesh for qualification into the Women’s World T20.
As expected, the major runs galore was achieved in the men’s matches and the women’s matches were more about sub-par 100+ scores. Most of the pre-tournament favourites had a productive day at the office and will look to continue on the second day of the respective tournaments.
