It depends on the arrangement between the participating boards, and in this case, both have not opted for playing the games as official ODIs. With Emirates Board hosting, it could also be a matter of incurring additional expense to host those games with ODI status, as it would require more expense and UAE Board currently do not have much to spend, other than the ones on the T20Is.
