BCCI have announced that the U19 Men’s Quadrangular tournament in India in September 2018 will be held from Sep 12th – 18th, 2018 in Lucknow instead of Kolkata as earlier speculated in the media, prior to U19 ACC (Asian Cricket Council) Asia Cup scheduled to take place in Sep/Oct 2018 in Bangladesh. The tournament will be played in the 50-overs format.
U19 team’s from Afghanistan and Nepal will take part in the tournament as a lead-up to ACC U19 Asia Cup. All 5 Full members in the region (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan) along with non-full members, Nepal, Hong Kong and UAE will form the 8-nation U19 Asia Cup.
BCCI’s Junior Selection Committee have announced the squads for India U19 “A” and “B” team’s, that will participate in the tournament.

While Nepal U19 defeated India U19 in the previous edition of the U19 Asia Cup in Malaysia in 2017, Afghanistan U19 beat Pakistan U19 twice en-route to winning the Asia Cup trophy. The tournament brought many accolades for Afghanistan’s Mujeeb ur Rahman and Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane.
