Argentina stayed ahead of the entire competition after day 3 action of the 14th South American Championship being played at Buenos Aires. Argentina lead the standings with 5 victories with 4 countries (Brazil, Chile, Peru & Uruguay Invitational XI) locked together with 3 wins in the tournament.

Mexico & Colombia have fallen off in the race to finish in the top 3 of the event after losing most of their matches so far in the competition.

Uruguay Invitational XI will rue the fact that they lost both their T20 matches on day 3 of the event. That has allowed the other teams to catch up with them on the points table and get ahead on better run-rate and in the race to fight Argentina in the eventual final of the competition.
