Singapore Cricket Association (SCA) will be hosting the Men’s National teams of Malaysia, Hong Kong-China and Samoa for the Asia Pacific Champions Trophy tournament from July 18th – 26th, 2025 at the Singapore National cricket ground. For Samoa Men’s team, this event will be crucial, as they begin their preparations towards 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia-EAP (East Asia-Pacific) Qualifier in Oman in October 2025, and play against higher-ranked teams in the ICC rankings table, outside of their region. Each team will play against the others in a double round-robin group stage format, before the top two (2) teams in the points table compete in the Final for the Title.
Malaysia Men are also going to be part of the Asia-EAP Qualifier alongside Samoa in October, and the tournament will be as important for them as it will be for Samoa, but with domestic cricket providing plenty of game-time for the Malaysian players, they would be well prepared coming into this event, as compared to Samoa, who last played an International tournament during the EAP sub-regional qualifier at home in September 2024, through which they qualified for the Asia-EAP qualifier.
