Domestic T20 leagues take centerstage in Oman, Namibia, Czechia, Tanzania and Cayman Islands

With the year 2021 slated to host the sub-regional qualifiers for 2022 Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia, most of the Associate cricket member countries are putting their domestic competition in place to prepare the players for the tournament.

Domestic T20 leagues have started in Oman, Cayman Islands, Indonesia, Kuwait and Argentina, while Tanzania tournament has reached the finale stage. Tanzania cricket have announced the launch of their domestic T10 competition after the conclusion of the T20 event. Even Vanuatu have started the national T10 Championships for both men’s and women’s, and are live streaming the action on their facebook page.

Czech Republic have just announced the team’s and the dates for their three divisions in the T20 format, with Division 3 being introduced for the first time in 2021. Netherlands board have also confirmed that men’s and women’s TopKlasse competition will start from the first week of May 2021.

Elsewhere, The player draft was held by Cricket Namibia for Richelieu T20 competition in 2021, with all the four franchises making their draft picks and as the current 50-overs/T20 competitions are coming to an end, the franchise T20 league will further strengthen the national set-up, which is set for important tournaments in 2021

Domestic competitions for men’s and women’s have also started in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and other Associate members countries.
