After the conclusion of the group stages in the ongoing ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean, the eight (8) teams have been identified for both the Super League stages and the Plate Championship stages. As per the tournament rules, the top 11 finishing countries automatically secure their spots in the next edition of the U19 World Cup in 2024 and with Super League countries already guaranteed of their spots, the final three (3) spots will be decided by the Plate Championship knock-out games.
U19 teams from United Arab Emirates, Papua New Guinea, Scotland, Canada and Uganda will take part in the Plate Championships quarter-finals, hoping to advance to the semi-finals and then hopefully the finals, that guarantees the qualification, or compete in the 3rd/4th play-off (losing teams in the semi-finals) to secure the final qualification spot for 2024 edition of the World Cup.
