Cricket PNG (Papua New Guinea) Men’s national team have been awarded the “Team of the Year” honour at the Annual Papua New Guinea Sports Awards.
Barramundis achievement of qualifying for their maiden Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021 came during their campaign in the 2019 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers in UAE. National squad member Charles Amini Jr collected the award on behalf of the team.
There were other achievements as well apart from this, as National squad member Norman Vanua won the People’ Choice and former Head Coach Joe Dawes received the “Sports Official of the Year” award.
