Two contrasting displays of batting shortcomings were seen from Nepal U19 and Afghanistan U19 in their opening matches against India U19 B/A squads respectively in the U19 Quadrangular One-Day series being played at Ekana stadiums in Lucknow.

While few Afghan players managed to hold their own in a tall chase of 328/8 set by India U19 “A” and got bowled out for 188, Nepal batters undid all the good work done by their bowlers by getting bowled out for 121, chasing a below pat score of 161 set by India U19 “B”.

Nepal U19 face “A” squad in their next match while Afghanistan U19 take on “B” squad on the same day on 14th Sep 2018.
