Belgium Cricket Federation (BCF) have announced that they will be hosting men’s team from Austria for a 3-match home T20I series in July 2021. The Bi-lateral series, which was originally scheduled to take place in May was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions.
Both Belgium (T20I Team rank 43rd) and Austria (T20I Team rank 39th) will play the three T20I matches at the Royal Brussels Cricket Club ground in Waterloo on 24th and 25th July 2021. The matches will be live streamed and can be watched on the ground’s Facebook page.
BCF have resumed domestic competitions in June 2021 after a long gap owing to government restrictions and toured Malta for a 5-match T20I series in July , while Austria men’s squad were recently in action in Czech Republic, where they emerged victorious in the 3-nation Central Europe Cup 2021 tournament involving teams from Luxembourg and the host’s.
