2021 season features 60-Ball Shootout and Íslensk Premier League in Iceland

Icelandic Cricket Association have launched a new domestic competition to be part of the 2021 domestic season in Iceland, along with the Íslensk Premier League (T20). While the T2) league matches take place on Sunday weekends, the 60-ball blast matches will happen on Wednesday evenings.

The T10 competition started in 2020, that replaced the planned ECS (European Cricket Series) T10 competition that got cancelled. Hafnarfjörður, Vesturbær, Kópavogur and Reykjavík are the four teams that will be competing in the competition. The first two rounds of matches have already been played in the 2021 edition of the competition, with Reykjavík having won both their opening matches.

Iceland national squad will play three games against the touring Association of Indian Dentists Cricket Club from UK on 01st, 02nd and 03rd July 2021. The board has named a 22-member squad for the 2021 International season, with 12 members having retained their places, who were part of the national squad during their visit to Malta for the Valletta Cup in October 2019.
