England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will be organizing the women’s domestic 50-over competition from July 02nd – September 25th, 2022 named after Rachael Heyhoe Flint in honor of the country’s World Cup-winning captain. Eight teams will feature in the tournament, with the format changed from the previous held edition in 2020. Each team will be playing their group opponents once in a single-robin group stage format, at the conclusion of which the top 2 team’s will advance to the final. The squads will be made up of players from ECB Women’s County Championship teams from all the divisions.
The tournament provides a great opportunity for Bryce sisters (Kathryn and Sarah) and Abtaha Maqsood from Scotland and Sterre Kalis from Netherlands to play in a competitive event.
