A new era will begin for Women’s cricket in Ireland, as the national squad will embark on their tour of Pakistan to play their first set of three (3) WODI matches as part of ICC Women’s ODI Championships, for which them along with Bangladesh, were given the opportunity by ICC to become a part of, culminating in the expansion of the Championships to ten (10) teams, as compared from previous editions featuring eight (8) nations only.
The tour will also feature three (3) WT20Is following the conclusion of the ODI series, with matches scheduled on November 04th – 09th for the ODI matches and the T20I matches to take place from November 12th – 16th and all the matches will be played at the Iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Both the teams have met earlier this year, when Pakistan Women toured Ireland for a T20I Tri-series event also featuring Australia Women, towards preparations for Commonwealth Games in the UK.
