Zimbabwe Women on tour of India to prepare for 2023 T20 World Cup Global qualifier

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) Women’s national squad will be on a tour to India from July 13th – 31st, 2022 for a 18-day tour comprising of a total of eight (8) matches in both T20 and 50-overs format against State/Local select squads. The tour is the start of the preparations after a training camp held at home for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global qualifier in UAE in September 2022, where they will be competing with teams from Ireland, Thailand, Bangladesh, United States, Scotland, Papua New Guinea and the host’s UAE for the two (2) qualification spots into the main event in South Africa.

The tour will start with five (5) matches in the T20 format on July 14th, 15th, 18th, 20th and 21st, with the first match being against a Karnataka State Women’s select XI. Three (3) matches in the 50-overs format will follow after the conclusion of the T20 games, with NICE Cricket Arena in Bengaluru hosting all the matches during their tour, which is organized by Omtex ICWC Cricket Institute.
