Afghanistan Men’s squad prepare for T20 World Cup in Qatar

Afghanistan Men’s National Squad, who flew out of the country couple of days ago in Qatar Airlines, have begun their training sessions in the country, from where they will travel to United Arab Emirates (UAE) in time to play their official warm-up fixtures against South Africa on 18th October and Australia on 20th October 2021.

The team is undergoing training sessions at the Asian Town International Stadium in Doha, which has hosted Men’s T20I matches in the past involving the host country and visiting countries from Kuwait and Jersey in 2019. The players and officials are awaiting clearance for the UAE visas while they undergo the training sessions. Afghanistan head coach Lance Klusener and batting/bowling consultants Shaun Tait and Andy Flower will be part of the set-up for the team during the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in UAE.
