Scotland International, Richie Berrington will lead the Scotland “A” tour of Lancashire County Club, who announced earlier that they will be hosting them in May 2018 for three games.

Lancashire will be fielding it’s 2nd XI side against Scotland “A” at Neston Cricket Club for two days in which the first match will be played on May 30th in the 50-overs format.

On 31st May, the teams will compete in two T20 matches at the same venue. The 50-overs match begins at 11:00 am local time while the two T20’s will be played at 11:00 am and 15:30 pm start times.

Scotland “A” recently concluded a successful tour of Bath CC where they won three games (Two T20’s and one 50-overs) against Bath and Gloucestershire 2nd XI’s with loss in the final game against the latter in 50-overs format being the only downer.

The tour comes at a crucial time when Scotland are in the middle of preparations for the upcoming ODI match against England, followed by two T20I’s against Pakistan. Head Coach Grant Bradburn will be traveling with the “A” squad to keep an eye on the potential players, who could get into the National squad for the upcoming matches.

Former Scotland captain, Preston Mommsen is an interesting name in the 12-member squad, having retired from International cricket few years ago. Youngsters in Dylan Budge, Mitchell Rao, Hamza Tahir and Elliott Ruthven will be looking to continue their good form from earlier “A” tours in the past couple of months and Scotland’s domestic competitions.

Scotland “A” Squad:

Richie Berrington (Captain), George Munsey, Michael English, Preston Mommsen, Dylan Budge, Matthew Cross, Riyaad Henry, Mitchell Rao, Hamza Tahir, Ross Lyons, Alasdair Evans & Elliot Ruthven
