Ireland will take on CWC Champions England in a three-match men’s One Day International series this summer. The matches will be Ireland’s first fixtures as part of the new ODI Super League, the qualification pathway process for the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
The sides will face off in the rescheduled internationals in the space of just six days between 30th Jul – 04th Aug at Ageas Bowl ground in Southampton. The squad will leave from Dublin on 18th July on a special charter flight. The team will be transferred to a hotel that is within the grounds of the Ageas Bowl and will stay there until their departure on 05th Aug 2020. The players and support staff will be tested a week before departure, on arrival and regularly during their stay.
Ireland will play a practice game on 23rd Jul, followed by a warm-up game against England Lions squad on 26th Jul, before the start of the ODI series. All three ODI’s will be available to watch live on Sky Sports Cricket in Ireland/UK territory.
