Ireland men’s squad announced for T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers in Oman

Cricket Ireland have announced their 16-member men’s national squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers in Oman from February 15th – 25th, 2022. The squad will leave Dublin for Oman on 4th February, and will play some warm-up fixtures during the lead-in period to the main draw of the Qualifier.

The following 16 players (14 + 2 travelling reserves due to ICC requirements as part of COVID protocols for the tournament) have been selected for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers: Andrew Balbirnie (Captain), Mark Adair, Curtis Campher, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Shane Getkate, Josh Little, Andy McBrine, Barry McCarthy, Simi Singh, Paul Stirling, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Craig Young, Neil Rock and Ben White.

Ireland will be competing in the 8-nation qualifiers in a bid to secure one of the two available qualification spots into the first round of 2022 Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia, for which the groupings and the schedule has been announced.
