Ireland Women to tour Zimbabwe for WODI series in October 2021

Ireland Women cricket team will travel to Zimbabwe to play a four (4) match One-Day International series from October 05th – 11th, 2021 as both countries prepare towards the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Global Qualifier in Zimbabwe in November/December this year. While these will be the first Women’s ODI matches for Ireland Women since June 2018, the series will mark the first ever ODI matches being played by Zimbabwe Women since getting ODI status by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in April this year.

Zimbabwe Women recently played a series of 50-over matches against the visiting Thailand Women team in September 2021, while Ireland players have been playing 50-overs cricket in domestic competition at home. Some of the players, who were part of Ireland Women squad during the T20 World Cup Europe qualifiers in Spain are not available for this particular tour.
