Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) have announced that a three (3)-day zonal tournament called Mirwais Neka 3-day tournament will take place in two cricket stadiums in Kandahar province from June 01st – 24th, 2022. Speenghar, Mis-e Ainak, Band-e Amir, Bost and Amo regions will be competing in the competition, with every team to play each other in a single round-robin group stage format, followed by the Final between the top two (2) teams in the points table.
The teams will feature players from first-class provincial competitions, alongside nationally contracted players and U19 players. After the conclusion of this series, the First-Class (FC) domestic competition will be played in the four (4)-day format and List-A competition towards the end of this year. All the matches will begin at 9am local time on the matchdays on 01st, 05th, 09th, 13th and 17th of June.
