Oman registered a comfortable 89 runs victory in the 2nd 50-overs match against USA at Al Amerat Cricket ground in the day/night game.

Oman batsmen struggled against the USA attack as after batting first, got restricted to 189/9 in their 50 overs. Arun Poulose (39 off 49) and Jatinder Singh (39 off 52) steadied the Oman innings after the early loss of Khawar Ali to form a 69 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket.

Oman lost a cluster of wickets in the middle overs and were reduced to 110/7 in the 33rd over. However, useful knocks from Jay Odedra (38 off 52) and Fiaz Bhutt (22 n.o off 36) forged a useful 49 runs partnership for the 9th wicket to take Oman to their final total of 189.

Timil Patel (4/28 off 10) was the most economical bowler for USA with Elmore Hutchinson (1/12 off 6) also bowling good lines & lengths.

USA batsmen never got it going in their chase with wickets falling at regular intervals with only Ravi Timbawala (24 off 67) and Mrunal Patel (18 off 54) able to resist for sometime but could not last longer with Bilal Khan (2/27), Khawar Ali (3/21), Ajay Lalcheta (2/13) and Jay Odedra (2/19) running through the USA batting line-up.

USA were bowled out for 100 runs in 40.1 overs to lose the match by 89 runs. With one match remaining in the 3-match series, Oman have won the series already with victory in the first 2 matches.
