Rwanda Men’s national squad put up collective team performances in the first two T20 International friendlies against Zambia to go 2-0 up in the 5-match series at Gahanga Oval in Kigali.
Rwanda batsmen had a good work-out in both the outings with the team scoring in excess of 160+ in both the games and bowlers restricting Zambia well below the targets required to win both the matches by margins of 57 runs and 47 runs respectively. Zambia will need change of tactics if they again end up chasing in the next matches to come in the series.
The next two games will be played on 19th May 2018 and Zambia will look to come back strongly and keep the series alive to take it to a decider on Sunday, 20th May 2018. Both teams are using the series as preparations towards respective Africa group “B” and “C” qualifiers for ICC WorldT20 in 2020.
