UAE wicket-keeper Ghulam Shabber and Muhammad Usman guided UAE to a 4 wicket victory over Zimbabwe A in the 1st of the 5-match unofficial ODI series at ICC Academy grounds in Dubai.
Zimbabwe were put into bat first and were restricted to 224/9 in their 50 overs. Rohan Mustafa was the pick of the bowlers with 3/46. Qadeer Ahmed also picked up 2/36 to provide good support to Rohan.
UAE were in early trouble losing Chirag Suri and Shaiman Anwar cheaply. Shabber (71) and Usman (44) put together a good partnership before getting out. UAE eventually lost 6 wickets en-route to victory in 45.2 overs with Shabber adjudged as the Man of the Match.
