Shaiman’s century in vain as Afghanistan beat UAE by 19 runs in Dubai

Shaiman Anwar, who was left out of the UAE squad for their 2 Tri-series matches against Ireland has brought himself back in the reckoning for the next 2 matches against Scotland.

UAE and Afghanistan played a 50-overs match on 18th Jan 2018, which Afghanistan managed to win by a small margin of 19 runs. Shaiman Anwar scored a century while Mohammad Unman also got among the runs.

Batting first, Afghanistan racked up 296 in their 50 overs with Rahmat Shah scoring a century and Mohammad Nabi staying unbeaten on 66 runs.

UAE registered win over Afghanistan in the first of the 2 practice games by 4 wickets, played at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai. Anwar starred in the match with a half-century to his name. Afghanistan national squad is currently preparing in UAE for their upcoming ODI & T20I series against Zimbabwe in Feb 2018.
