UAE complete 5-0 Whitewash in ODI series against Zimbabwe A

UAE continued their recent run of success as they completed a 5-0 whitewash of Zimbabwe A in the ODI series.

Zimbabwe A total of 312/9 in their 50 overs, was made largely due to Peter Moor’s whirlwind knock of 75 runs in just 30 balls.

The hosts managed to chase down the high total by clinching a four-wicket win with 11 deliveries remaining. Rameez Shahzad hit 61 in 58 balls to come back to form, which is good news for UAE for their upcoming matches. The partnership of 112 runs for the fifth wicket between Laxman Sreekumar and Adnan Mufti took the team close to the total.

Mohammad Naveed provided the spectacular finish to the match by hitting two sixes and a four in his six-ball cameo worth 18 not out to complete the series whitewash victory.

UAE next play their final Intercontinental Cup match against Afghanistan and 2 WCL Championship matched against Nepal.
