72 players were bought by six teams at the second edition of DPL Player Auction in Kathmandu today for 2018 Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL), which was aired Live on TV, a first for Nepal Cricket.
Basant Regmi in excess of NRs.1,50,000 along with Sagar Pun, Aarif Sheikh and Karan KC received the same bid amount from the team’s during the auctions, making them the highest paid picks for this particular edition.
Each franchise has the option to recruit two overseas professionals as part of their complete squad line-up and the organisers are hopeful to get ICC approval in the coming weeks to give time for franchises for the event to lure International players to come to Nepal to play the T20 league.
