Cricket Papua New Guinea (CPNG) will be hosting the Men’s and Women’s Boroko Motors ISUZU T20 Smash tournament from March 19th – 29th, 2026 at Amini Park, Port Moresby. Players from across the Southern, Highlands, Momase and Islands regions will come together to compete in four (4) franchise teams, namely Black Bass, Mudmen, Cassowaries and Mariners. Black Bass (Women’s) and Cassowaries (Men’s) are the Defending Champions from last year’s edition held in May.
The tournament will also feature selected players from the PNG U19 Siales training squad, who will take part as part of their preparation for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 East Asia Pacific World Cup Qualifier in 2026. Both Men’s and Women’s National teams also have International commitments lined up, which includes qualification pathway events towards Cricket World Cup/T20 World Cup.
PNG U19 Siales Coach Jason Kila “Eight Siales girls from the training squad will play in the Boroko Motors ISUZU T20 Smash across the four teams. It’s good experience for them to play alongside senior women athletes, including PNG Lewas, and it will give them confidence as they prepare for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 East Asia Pacific World Cup Qualifier.”
