Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) will be organizing the inaugural edition of BCA “Kalahari” Women’s T20 International tournament from April 20th – 27th, 2024 and will feature the teams from the host’s, joined by Women’s National teams of Rwanda, Mozambique and Lesotho. The tournament will be played in a double round-robin group stage format and all matches will carry ICC T20I ranking points.
This marks the return of International Women’s Cricket in Botswana, with the last time a multi-nation Women’s tournament (other than ICC tournament, which was last held in September 2023 during the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Division 2 qualifier) was held at the Gaborone oval (Botswana 7s Women’s Tournament) in August 2018, in which both Lesotho and Mozambique teams had participated.
