Cricket Boards of Botswana, Cameroon and Mozambique have announced their respective men’s national squads for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa sub-regional qualifiers in Rwanda from November 02nd – 07th, 2021.
Teams from Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Botswana, Cameroon and Mozambique will be competing for one qualification spot into the Regional finals in Rwanda in the final weekend of November. Uganda, Kenya and Nigeria are currently in the regional finals, and await the winner of the sub-regional tournament.
Only Sierra Leone have played International T20Is this year when they toured Nigeria in October, their first since COVID-19 pandemic began. Botswana and Tanzania have also played competitive cricket leading into the qualifiers, with Botswana touring Zimbabwe to play the Tuskers domestic franchise, and Tanzania touring Kenya to play the Coast Cricket Academy team from Mombasa.
