In a major boost towards growth of Women’s cricket in the African region, Botswana Cricket Association will be hosting a 7-nation Women’s T20I tournament from Aug 20th – 26th, 2018.
Women’s T20 International matches between ICC members (Full members and Associates) are eligible for T20I status effective 01st Jul 2018 and the tournament has got the ICC approval for the same and the results will count towards global T20I team rankings, when they are in force from Oct 2018.
Botswana Women’s team will be competing against team’s from Namibia, Lesotho, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia and Sierra Leone in a single round-robin format which will see each team play 6 T20I matches.
