Mujeeb made his Afghanistan senior debut in 2017 following impressive performances in ICC U-19 Asian Qualifiers & ACC U-19 Asia Cup, and hasn’t looked back since.
Following a successful outing in ICC U-19 World Cup in New Zealand, Mujeeb was picked up by Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Kings XI Punjab for 2018 edition. Prior to joining the IPL, he went onto becoming the joint highest wicket-taker with 17 scalps in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe in Mar 2018 along with country-mate Rashid Khan and Scotland’s Safyaan Sharif.
A successful IPL outing was followed by a stint with Hampshire in England’s 2018 Vitality Blast and Mujeeb is currently playing in his country’s own Afghanistan Premier League in Sharjah for Nangarhar franchise, where he is playing alongside his Heat teammate, Ben Cutting.
