Cricket Canada (CC) will be hosting the Men’s National teams from Oman and Nepal for an ODI and T20I Tri-series from September 16th – October 03rd, 2024, which will be the sixth (6th) round of the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cycle (Qualification pathway tournament towards 2027 CWC Global Qualifier). Top four (4) after completion of 36 ODIs for all in the CWC League 2 Championship will qualify directly for 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier (CWCQ). Bottom four (4) teams in the points table will then compete in CWC Qualifier Play-off tournament, along with four (4) teams from the Challenge League competitions for four (4) spots in CWCQ.
The T20I Tri-series will start following the completion of the ODI schedule, and will take place from September 28th – October 03rd, 2024. Team Nepal will further continue their stay in Canada and play a three (3) match series in 50-overs format with the Canada High Performance teams from October 04th – 08th, 2024, before travelling to USA for the next round of CWC League 2 ODI Tri-series, involving the host’s and Scotland.
