ChicKing, a fast-food chain restaurants group, has secured a 3-year deal with Voorburg Cricket Club (VCC) in Netherlands, to be the name sponsor for the Dutch pre-season T20 tournament organized for the clubs in the Haaglanden region from 2021.
ChicKing T20 Cup replaces the previously known Muntaz Foundation T20 Cup, which will see team’s from Voorburg, HBS Craeyenhout, Hague Cricket Club and Quick Cricket Club compete for the trophy. The tournament was first played in 2014 and has been an annual event ever since.
ChicKing will also be the official shirt sponsors for the first XI and second XI team’s of Voorburg Cricket Club, as part of the deal agreement. The Westvliet sports park will also have a billboard for the entire season bearing the company’s name and logo.
KNCB, Netherlands Cricket Board have announced that they expect the 2021 domestic TopKlasse season to start from May 01st, and the pre-season tournament will provide players the opportunity to get game-time in the middle before the start of the official domestic season.
