Afghanistan’s pace bowling department has suffered a crucial blow ahead of T20I series against Bangladesh and the subsequent maiden Test against India as Dawlat Zadran is sidelined for a month with an injury.
Afghanistan Cricket Board notified via their twitter handle (@ACBOfficials) that Dawlat suffered a knee injury during the National squad’s training session in India and has been advised at-least a month’s rest by the doctors.
Dawlat has been an integral part of Afghanistan’s White-ball and Red-ball cricket, having represented them in 72 ODI’s and 33 T20I’s so far in International cricket. One can say that he was all set to play the maiden test against India at Bengaluru and will be massively disappointed with the turn of events.
Fast bowler @dawlat_zadarn suffered a knee injury during the training camp in India. He has been advised one month's rest by doctors. Therefore, he will not be available for the T20I series against Bangladesh as well as Afghanistan's one-off Test against India.

His absence from the squad will bring about an opportunity for someone else to step up and represent the country in their maiden Test match.
