de Lange blow for Scotland as squad announced for World Cup Qualifiers

Scotland will be missing the services of their vice-captain, Con de Lange for the upcoming ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Mar 2018 in Zimbabwe due to health issues.

de Lange missed Scotland’s recent trip to UAE for a Tri-series as well and the two debutantes in the squad, Tom Sole & Michael Jones have taken their opportunities in Dubai to get selected for the WCQ squad.

Kyle Coetzer will be leading the 15-member squad for a pre-tour of South Africa in Feb 2018 before traveling to Zimbabwe. Tom’s elder brother, Chris Sole has also got selected in the squad, and the Sole family will be rejoiced to see if both get to play in the same XI.

Scotland are placed alongside Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe and the final qualifier from World Cricket League Division 2 in February in Group B.
